  • Dr. Leo Yason, Medical Director

    Dr. Leo Yason, Medical Director

    Dr. Leo Yason was born and raised in his hometown of the Manila Philippines and moved to Florida in 1991. He completed his bachelor's in general sciences and his medical degree from University of Santo Tomas College of Medicine in Manila Philippines in 1980. He then spent 4 years completing his Psychiatry Residency at Harvard Medical School, in Boston Massachusetts where he served as Chief Resident from 1990 - 1991.

    Dr. Yason opened his own his own Psychiatric Private Practice in Hernando County, FL in 1991 which he operated for 25 years. He served as medical staff at Springbrook Hospital, Former Charter Hospital, HCA Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville Regional Hospital, and Springhill Regional Hospital. Dr. Yason help Medical Directorship of Springbrook Hospital for 4 years until his semiretirement April 30, 2023.

    Dr. Yason loves to spend time doing volunteer work. He has volunteered at the Crescent Clinic in Springhill Fl and continues to volunteer with nonprofit organizations including GK USA/Philippines and Friends Who Care/Hospital on Wheels Philippines.

    Dr. Yason spends the rest of his free time enjoying his favorite hobbies include playing tennis and bowling, supporting Tampa Bay professional sports teams and ballroom dancing with his beautiful wife Susan.

  • Lillian Ingram, CEO

    Lillian Ingram, PMHNP, NP-C, APRN founded Learning to Achieve Wellness with the idea of offering all patients regardless of backgrounds, socioeconomic status or diagnosis the opportunity to get the highest quality of care possible in a comfortable and homelike environment with highly educated staff that truly care about their patients. She is always researching best practices and the most updated treatments to offer her patients. It is her goal that every patient has the best outcomes and experiences while reaching their goals with minima side effect and maximum results.

    Lillian Ingram grew up in Madison, WI and has had a love for helping and caring for others since she can remember. She always knew she would work in health care and started work a CNA in high school, she later obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Viterbo University in Lacrosse, WI. She then served worked for the State of Wisconsin for 10 years while completing her master’s degree in nursing in Family Practice from Gonzaga University. She then moved to GA and later FL to serve low-income areas and underserved. This is where her love for psychiatry grew, and she went back school for her Post Master’s Degree Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

    Lillian has dedicated herself to her profession and has trained many hours in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient psych, inpatient medical, partial hospitalization program and assisted living and skilled nursing homes.

  • Jessica Burton, PMHNP

    Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

    Jessica Burton comes to Learning to Achieve Wellness with year’s of experience in mental health care. She has worked in a variety of settings including the psychiatric emergency room, psychiatric hospital, outpatient and partial hospitalization setting. She has advanced training at several large psychiatric practices and partial hospitalization programs.

    Jessica is a wealth of knowledge and is aways willing to find a way to make things work for her patients. Jesica had dedicated her practice to the mental health field and those she serves. Jessica enjoys taking on difficult cases and challenges and is comfortable with high acuity psychiatric needs and long-acting injectable medication.

    In her free time Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her son and being outdoors and staying active.

    Jessica is accepting office patients in person and by tele health in the Brandon Office. She also specialized in psychiatric care in Assisted Living Facilities.

  • Gennifer Young, PMHNP

    Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

    Gennifer Young coms to Learning to Achieve Wellness with a well-rounded background in healthcare. She was born in Oregon and grew up in Hawaii. She has always had a love for health care. She is educated in Heath Care Administration and Nursing. Her interest in psychiatry drew her pursue her Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialty certification and license in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Gennifer became board certification as a PMHNP in June 2022.

    Gennifer has dedicated her career in mental health care and serving her patients. Gennifer is caring and compassionate and a lifelong learner. Gennifer dedicates her service to her patients and their wellbeing.

    In her free time, she also raises her family, enjoys the beach and raising and breeding French Bulldogs.

    Gennifer is accepting office patients in person and by tele health in the Brandon Office. She also specialized in psychiatric care in the hospital setting.

  • Tangela Ewin, PMHNP

    Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner

    Tangela Ewin was born in Nashville, TN and raised in Georgia. She has resided in Florida since 2007. She worked as a registered nurse for over 8 years with BayCare in a Neuro - Trauma Intensive Care Unit and a Medical Intensive Care Unit. Tangela completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of North Florida and went on to obtain her master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Florida with specialization in Adult-Gerontology. Shortly after completing her first master’s degree, she completed her post master’s degree at Florida State University with a specialty in psychiatry and she became board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

    Tangela goal was to enter into a career in psychiatry as her main passion is for mental health. She learned early in her nursing career sh. wanted to be able to help her patients in each part their life. Tangela strives to provide the best possible care to her patients by collaborating with her patients to ensure positive patient outcomes.

    Tangela is accepting office patients in person and by tele health in the Brandon Office. She also specialized in TMS consultation and treatment.

    Therapist

    Erica is born and raised in Clearwater FL. She has obtained her bachelors and master’s degrees in social work.

    Erica is currently a registered clinical social worker intern and is actively working towards her Licensed Clinical Social Work degree. She was to continue to build her clinical skills.

    Erica enjoys working with children, teens and young adults and also specializes in care and treatment of the older adult the assisted living facility.

    Erica enjoys traveling, sending time with family and friends and being outdoors.

  • Amanda Torres, LMHC

    Licensed Mental Health Counselor:

    Amanda has been working as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2019. She has supported thousands of clients and families in Florida.

    Amanda works with adults, children and adolescents. She specializes in treatment a of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, dual diagnosis, grief, emotional regulation, social skills and anger management training. Amanda also is trained in providing students support to increase school success. She utilizes therapeutic modulations of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Talk Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Grief Counseling and Effective Strategies for emotional health.

    Amanda uses a therapeutic style that is centered around each individual's needs. She will help build on strengths and identify and build up areas for growth. She works from an empathetic and respectful stance that aims to help you alleviate pain, stress, and internal struggles by offering support, respect, and empathy while listening to your story.

    She believes taking the first step to reach out for support is a challenging experience but knows that as your reach your desired goals you will find it very rewarding.

  • Maureen Yates, LMHC

    Licensed Mental Health Counselor

    Maureen Yates strives to create an open and collaborative environment as a means to empower my clients to have a safe and non-judgmental space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings while preserving their dignity.

    Maureen is from Old Saybrook, Connecticut and completed her education and training with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, Master of Arts in Addictions and Recovery, Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University. She has multiple achievement and accomplishments including being a retired correctional officer sergeant with the Florida Department of Corrections and having more then 10 years’ experience in the field of mental health counseling.

    Maureens area of clinical interests include Trauma, Bereavement, Anxiety, Depression, Life. She utilizes transitions, Family Conflict, Stress Management, Self-Esteem Challenges, Mood Disorders, and enjoys working with Anger Management, Substance Abuse, Adjustment Disorders, ADHD, Personality Disorders, and Geriatric Counseling.

    Maureen enjoys traveling, boating, swimming, the beach, shopping, museums, and reading
