Jelinet Caban-Hernandez, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a compassionate, patient-centered Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to delivering evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan. She completed her PMHNP training at St. Thomas University, earning her certification on 10/31/2025.

With nearly 13 years of experience in the healthcare system as a registered nurse, Jelinet brings a strong clinical foundation in critical care, hospital medicine, triage, and outpatient office settings. Her background includes caring for diverse patient populations across both inpatient and outpatient environments, allowing her to approach mental health treatment with depth, clinical insight, and cultural awareness.

Jelinet specializes in treating depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and postpartum depression. She has a strong focus on perinatal mental health, women’s mental health, older adult and geriatric populations, and Spanish-speaking/Latino communities. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Her approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. Jelinet combines evidence-based medication management with supportive, goal-oriented care tailored to each patient’s needs. She works closely with patients to create treatment plans that support stability, healing, and long-term emotional wellness.
